10 Jun Meet the team – Kristina Stiffler: Finding the personal touch in our clients’ stories
Our business is about forming genuine, long term bonds between our clients and the executives they want to to do businesses with. For us, that starts at home. We couldn’t build connections between execs without the bonds we’ve built amongst our in-house team.
Where most companies just pay lip service to a culture of conscientiousness and personal development, we believe we’ve genuinely achieved it. From the top, all the way through to our c-suite, IT department, sales development reps, copywriters and ultimately, the clients we select, we live and breathe our mission of making the world a better place.
We’re extremely proud of the elite team of ‘conscientious overachievers’ we’ve assembled, so, over the next couple of weeks we’re showcasing them. We also asked them what makes the business unique, to give you a sense of who we are and how we’re able to deliver high quality meetings with executives.
Kristina Stiffler is one of our copywriters. It’s her job to turn the essence of what our clients do into a compelling message for c-suite executives. That starts with learning what our clients’ businesses do, inside out. It’s something she’s so good at, in fact, she sometimes gets to know them better than they know themselves.
“We have a lot of clients that come to us who are used to thinking and talking about themselves in a more transactional way. I think we help them get back in touch with why they got into the business in the first place and what that was for,” she says.
Linked Strategies has helped a lot of clients find their executive to executive voice over the years, if they haven’t already, from IT companies to large household name brands. Our internal ethos of caring and conscientiousness can often rub off on the clients, says Kristina.
“We really do have a foundation of caring about people that you don’t see everywhere… We know the stories of the people we’re dealing with and treat them accordingly, so most clients have a different experience with us. They get a lot of attention and care they don’t normally get in a B2B transaction. ”
After she graduated from university and before she started her careers in journalism and training, Kristina volunteered as a teacher on a native american reservation in Montana. She was working with children from tough social backgrounds, but recalls the sense of shared purpose between her and the other volunteer teachers she lived with.
“That’s the only time I can remember working somewhere that feels the same as Linked Strategies… At the reservation, we had this shared purpose in the kids we were teaching.”
Now, she feels a shared purpose towards our clients and the executives they want to do business with.
“It’s easy in business to get impersonal, but people know when you’re being transactional versus when you’re being genuine.”
